AbouT THE ARTIST
Originally trained in traditional painting, Shayna has moved from more classic forms of 2D art to less conventional, interdisciplinary methods after attaining her BA in Art from Willamette University. Her main goal is to use art to promote social justice, which she exemplifies in her own creative projects, as well as the work she has done teaching art to underserved populations including developmentally disabled adults and women experiencing homelessness. As of 2021, she works full time as a Special Education teacher, giving her time in the evenings and weekends to indulge in creating art.
